The Effect of Use of Different Types of Matrix Material on Mechanical Characteristics in Jute/Carbon Fiber Reinforced Hybrid Composites

The use of natural fibers in the automotive industry as potentially renewable and environmentally friendly materials is increasing day by day. Natural fiber reinforced polymer composites are also replacing traditional vehicle interior exterior current automobile industry. This study focuses on fabrication hybrid composite with jute carbon using two different thermoset resins such epoxy polyester. During this production, vacuum assisted resin transfer molding production technique was utilized. were evaluated for tensile strength hardness characterization. surface morphology specimens broken after mechanical tests scrutinized scanning electron microscopy. Results reveal that polyester strength, there 3.29 times increase structures compared to pure composites, case 3.66 strength. In comparison microhardness values, formed jute/carbon fabric have a value 1.6 higher than resin. Hybrid 1.64 structure made analysis produced structures, it has been revealed features physical characteristics give compatible results.
